This week’s cocktail was another success, and yet another product of the Great Chambord Experiment. I have to say, that little bottle is turning into a nice investment!
The recipe combines vanilla and citrus, which I found intriguing, and it all ties together really well. I fail at making an orange twist, though, so I guess I need to work on my garnishes. I don’t think it adversely affected the taste, since the hubby and I both drank ours up. (Shhh… don’t tell anyone he enjoyed a pink drink.)
The French Martini
Recipe from Rufus’ Food & Spirits Guide, with my modifications
1 oz vanilla vodka
1 oz Chambord
1/2 oz Grand Marnier
1/2 oz lemon juice
Combine ingredients in a shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously and strain into a martini glass. Garnish with an orange twist (if you have the skills) and enjoy!
