A couple of nights ago, the hubby went out for dinner with a friend of his, so I had an evening to myself. What did I do? Made myself a quick stovetop mac and cheese for dinner, and got to work on testing out this week’s cocktail, that’s what!
I was feeling something with Chambord, and I decided to go with a black raspberry gimlet recipe from Food & Wine. It was simple and oh-so-tasty.
Made in a mini-cocktail shaker perfect for one serving, it was a great treat on my solo night in. I’ll definitely be trying it again sometime soon, maybe when the better half is around (even though it is pink).
Black Raspberry Gimlet
Adapted from this recipe from Food & Wine
3 oz vodka
1/2 oz Chambord
2 tsp fresh lime juice
1 tsp simple syrup
Combine all ingredients in a shaker with plenty of ice. Shake until cold and strain into a martini glass. Serve and enjoy!
