Oh my… this drink is summer incarnate.
I got a bunch of delicious local white peaches for Nora to snack on recently, and I stole one the other day to make a batch of margaritas. After a little tweaking, it was perfection, and it’s the closest you can come to a drink straight from the farm. No processed ick,* just booze and fruit. Gotta love that!
* Well, sugar in the simple syrup, but at least it’s organic! I read an article recently that suggested agave syrup as a substitute. I’ll have to try that out.
I may or may not have dumped the whole thing over ice into an insulated cup and taken it to the pool with me.
In any case, it was delicious. Try one ASAP!
White Peach Margarita
Makes 2 servings
2 ripe white peaches, quartered and pits removed
1 oz simple syrup
2 oz silver tequila
1 oz fresh-squeezed lime juice
1 oz Grand Marnier or Cointreau
Combine all ingredients in a blender and puree. Serve over plenty of ice, or add a big handful to the blender if you’re feeling a frozen ‘rita.**
** I’m an on-the-rocks purist, though.

Oh wow. I will be having that one. Oh yes I will. And I may or may not take it in an insulated cup to the pool, because that may or may not be the best damned idea I’ve ever heard. Erm. I’ll just pick a day when Scott is driving, because I’m not competent to drink even a thimble and drive.
Oh so responsible.
Enjoy!!
Oh, my, my! That does sound excellent!
Sooo good, I’m telling you!
Insulated cup of yummy cocktail and pool… Perfect!
Isn’t it though? I have to agree.
Ohmygoodness! That sounds absolutely fantastic. You go girl for taking it to the pool. I think that sounds like the good life.
Absolutely. I highly encourage such behavior.
That looks great…
So, so good. Try it out and let me know what you think!

Had a case of white peaches and came across your site when I googled white peach margis- 4 batches in and we are huge fans!!! Love the recipe, thank you!!!
Awesome! So glad you found the site, and that you’re liking the margaritas. I hope you don’t mean 4 batches in tonight, but, well, if you do, happy Friday!!
I did these for our 4th of July party yesterday and they were quite hit! I wanted to let you know that I read in the bar book you recommended that you could freeze the fruit and then blend it with the liquor and it gave it a nice frozen drink without ice watering the booze down. It was quite tasty!
