Grapefruit Mexican Martini

It’s January, and that means peak grapefruit season! Lucky us, we’re members of a CSA that brings us citrus at this time of year, and included in our last couple of boxes have been some of the most beautiful, juicy, red grapefruits I’ve ever seen.

Delicious.

I love a good grapefruit half for breakfast, but with such bounty, how could I resist juicing a couple of these beauties and using them in a cocktail? While the Freshly Pressed is still my favorite use for grapefruit, I do love this fresh take on my old favorite, the Mexican Martini.

  4. Those grapefruit look absolutely amazing! A grapefruit sorbet would also be delicious- but I might only be saying that because it’s over 100 degrees where I am currently.

    • Oh my goodness! I can hardly entertain the idea of sorbet, as it has been sleeting all day and I have an urge to curl up under a blanket in front of the fire. But then again, it is supposed to be in the 70s next week, so we’ll see then! 😉

  5. That looks delicious. The grapefruit would give it the perfect tart punch.

  6. Sounds like a margarita to me. But call it whatever you want. I’ll have two!
