Thanks for the cocoa powder substitution–I so rarely have baking chocolate, because every time it comes into the house I make molten lava cakes and poof it’s gone. Cocoa powder hangs out in the pantry a bit longer.

In my family, we make almost this exact same recipe, but we call them goat cookies cause we had goats growing up and the oats used in baking them look remarkably similar to the ones we fed the goats….

Hahahaha… Maybe just call it veggie juice? I bet that’d do the trick. Or keep it in the fridge and just walk around every so often to refresh the grown-ups’ glasses? As if you couldn’t tell, I am a vetean alcohol-server at kids’ parties. I couldn’t make it through otherwise!

I just want to drink that through the screen. It looks so damned refreshing. I’m SO tempted to make a pitcher for my son’s upcoming birthday party, but I don’t want it mistaken for kool-aid. Maybe a sign that says “Icky frog juice” would do it. No. No. Sam thinks he WANTS to make that. Hmmm…
